CASTELLANA CAVES
Castellana Caves were discovered in 1938. Together
with Ostuni and Alberobello they are one of
the main attractions for tourists in Puglia.
The caves are made up of underground karst hollows
and long tunnels branching out for about 3 Km,
reaching a depth of 71 metres. You can see funny
natural sculptures such as Black Cave (Grotta
Nera), Monuments Big Cave (Cavernone dei Monumenti),
Créche Small Cave (Cavernetta del Presepe)
and the beautiful White Cave (Grotta Bianca).
