Zompo lo Schioppo Fall (in Morino)
It is 80 metres high and it is one of
the highest falls in the Apennines. It
forms such a wide bend that you can pass
under it without getting wet.
On the Abruzzo side of the Simbruini Mountains,
you can see a wonderful nature reserve.
In the valley there is a wood. The Schioppo
stream, which has its source in the fall,
flows through the wood. Its waters are
so clean that animals such as trouts and
dippers live there.
