Mount Pallano is valuable above all for
its Megalithic Walls, which stretched
along its ridge in the past. Nowadays
the mighty Wall, five metres high and
dating back to IV-V century B.C., wounds
up the eastern ridge, from the North to
the South, for 160 metres.
In addition to the Walls, you can visit
a settlement, probably the ancient city
Pallanum, in the neighbourhood
of Fonte Benedetti.
The present excavations by the Archaeologic
Office and by a group of experts from
the University of Oxford will
contribute to unveil the misterious but
fascinating history of Mount Pallano.
